[Icom] Intermittent Heil headset problem

I have two HS706 headsets and they both have this problem. The problem is
the plug on the headset cord doesn't have a proper fit in the 706 mic plug.
Heil is aware of the problem for some time but has done nothing about it. I
bought a short computer networking cord and union which is attached to the
end of the headset cord. The end is tied together with a tie strap to
maintain a good connection. It looks Mickey Mouse but it works. Bill WZ4GW
