[Icom] IC-T90a Extended TX Mod???

Has anyone done the extended TX Mod for the T90a that is listed on
www.mods.dk <http://www.mods.dk/> ?  It details removing 3 diodes (2
with 2 leads and 1 with 3 leads).

 

I have been told that Icom says to remove only the first 2 (with only 2
leads).

 

Does anyone know what the difference is?  Has anyone experienced
problems after doing either mod?
