[Icom] IC-718 in RTTY mode using AFSK

Does anyone have experience using an IC-718 in RTTY mode driving it with 
AFSK?  I'm wondering mostly about some kind of frequency offset I've 
heard is needed when doing this.  I've never done RTTY and would like to 
try it.  My present set up for PSK31 hopefully will work with the right 
software but my understanding is it will have to be done with AFSK 
rather than FSK.  I am using an MFJ-1275 sound card interface.

Thoughts and ideas would be very much appreciated as well as links to 
websites.
