I sent Ken a private reply with my details. Mine is still for sale, and
it's the later model. If there are any new readers that missed my original
post a few weeks ago, email me privately and I will send you the details.
Aw heck, it's just plain text - Here's the original post again:

I have decided to put my Icom PW-1 up for sale. This was purchased from R&L
Electronics on Oct. 18, 2001 in Hamilton, Ohio. I brought it home near
Indianapolis via auto (not shipped). I performed the 10M mod without
difficulty. It was put into use right away in a nonsmoking household. I
beleive it to be in perfect condition. It's on a low shelf, and I haven't
brought it out for a super-close inspection lately, but it's only been
moved on the bench a couple of times. The control head is remoted, but the
head can be
restored to the main unit if desired.

Someone will ask why I want to sell it. The easiest answer for mass
consumption is just that my interests, work responsibilities, and cash flow
have all shifted such that I no longer want to have this much money tied up
in an amplifier that I am not using much these days.

I shouldn't have to extol the virtues of this amp to the readers of this
list. Used with a suitable Icom exciter, this amp changes your
rig into a 1000 watt transceiver. Everything is automatic, and remember, it
also has an automatic antenna tuner and 4-antenna switch. Thus, plug in
several antennas, and you're good to go on all bands with the touch of a
bandswitch or a click of a bandmap.

I have used it mostly on RTTY. It runs -literally- cool to the touch, hour
after hour at 1000W RTTY!

As they say, Serious Inquiries Only. For seriously interested prospective
buyers, I will take photos if necessary and work with you on transportation.
I would be a little nervous shipping this 56 pounds of awesome electronics,
but I do have the original cartons. If you plan to be in Dayton, I could
bring it with me and consummate the
deal there.

SN 01310; I paid $4,845.95, and I see R&L still has it at that price. I'd
like to see around $3850.

Anyone interested in discussing this further? Tnx bandwidth! 73 - John,
