[Icom] 756 display + second issue

Gentlemen,

My old faithful '756 (original one) has suddenly developed the infamous
intermittent horizontal dark lines thus the display is starting to have the well
documented problem.  At present, it appears to be more of an irritation, but
nevertheless is disconcerting.  Get something new?  Sure, but this radio still
has a lot of life left in it!

Thus, is a replacement display and the accompanying LCD cover (as per VK6HK
article) still available and where? I don't believe this question has been asked
in the last couple months and things can change rapidly.

The second question is the backlighting of (specifically) the NB button - it is
intermittent; from all on, all off, or somewhere in between (dirty contact?).
Any suggestions before I contemplate surgery?
