Hi Folks,
Well, I finally got my 706Mark II G set up in my shop with the auto tuner,
it sure is a neat little rig and works great. I bought it when I got out
of the hospital last Nov. and it has just been sitting in the storage
closet.
I know a lot of the guys are still into vintage gear as well as state of
the art stuff from several of the emails that I have received over many
months.
After the close call I had while on vacation recently and another hospital
stay, I got to thinking. What in the world would my wife have done with an
attic and garage full of vintage parts and tubes?
We had a long discussion about that very thing after this bout and we
decided that is time to pass the torch on to someone else in the vintage
department.
I will never be able to do anymore restorations or repairs on the old stuff
so I would like to offer for sale the following.
2500 to 3000 tubes, NOS, tested & boxed, boxes and storage tubs full of
untested tubes as well as a couple of service caddies full of new ones.
These range from the 1920's 1 volt types thru the last modern day
production runs. Tons of Collins and Drake tubes, finals etc.
Many large bin drawers full of caps, resistors, micas, disks, switches,
knobs, hardware, connectors, cables etc. In short about anything a person
would need to do vintage repair and restoration.
Vintage test equipment in working and excellent condition.
I would like to sell it all as one lot and the rub is that it must be
picked up in Northwest Arkansas. There is way to much to ship unless the
buyer had about a 20 foot enclosed trailer.
I can take and send pictures of some of the storage areas and stuff to give
an idea of what I have.
I am not looking to get rich from this stuff, I would just like a fair
offer and most important, preserve it for the future.
Now back to Icom stuff, darn, I am sure glad I discovered the PRO rigs, I
love them.
