in order to charge the internal battery you must remove any batt. packs from 
the radio and plug the radio into the wall charger, turn the radio off and 
let it sit for 16 hours or so, if you have an external battery attached to 
the radio the wall charger will charge it instead of the internal battery

Just picked up an Icom 3SAT, and have a question about
charging the internal battery. Does the wall charger
charge this battery when it is plugged into the DC
jack on the top of the HT?  If so, how long does a
charge take?  Can't find anything about it in the
manual.
