For a model of probable operation on 60 metres, look at MARS or CAP
operation, not our traditional amateur operations. MARS/CAP operation is in nets,
with scheduled start/end times. I doubt if we'll do much rag-chewing, DX
chasing, or contesting on this band.
The stated purpose for the 60 meter band request was for emergency
communications when 40 meters was too "long" and 75 was not usable. It appears we
got the absolute minimum to meet our stated request.
So, we now have another band for nets.
