As far as I'm concerned any noise from a power supply is too much noise.  I'm 
reconfiguring the shack to use only linear power supplies with large heat 
sinks.  No more switchers with fans.  Like W0YG, I think the place for power 
supplies is somewhere OFF the operating desk.
