Correct my message, I should have said: POWERPOLE.
I thought that this is what you were talking about.
These connectors are in use by RACES and FEMA who change all their DC power
cords standardized to this system. If one mobile unit looses his VHF radio,
then someone else's ICOM will pop right in where the dead kenwood was.
So you see - Powerpole and ICOM radio saved the day.

Subject Powermax Gender
Powermax connectors are gender neutral. Any same size connector connects
with any same size connector. It certainly makes having a "spare" easier -
you only have ONE part - to have in spares box. (Well, two parts, one red
one black!)
If you examine how it looks you will see.
After all, we really don't have to worry about gender in power cables as we
usually know where the power source is! We need know only polarity - which
is indicated by the color.
At first I didn't like this genderless system, but after havng used it, I
like it very much.

[Icom] Icom PS-125
The problem is I don't want the PS-125 on the desk and Icom supplies too
short a cable. So, I want to and have asked for suggestions about extending
the cable. George, W5YR, instead of telling me, or others who have also
indicated it is too short for them, it is just right for you, how about
giving us some hints on where to get connectors to extend the cable. The
proper place for this power supply in my shack is under the table. It
obviously is not the same for you.
One suggested Powermax but I hit a dead end there. Maybe a Male inline
connector is not available???
BTW, that PS-125 is extremely noisy when the fan comes on. Others have
indicated the same. My shack is stone cold quiet. That fan shatters that
quietness.

Charlie, W0YG..
