[Icom] Thanks - Dead PRO2

Hi Dave,

No, it has one front end and 2 first mixer-local oscillator groups. Here is
a simplified block diagram:
http://www.qsl.net/ab4oj/icom/dw.html

The fact that your friend can hear WWVH suggests that the first local
oscillator (synthesiser) is working. There is a severe loss either in the RF
signal path or somewhere in the IF chain. He should send the radio in as
soon as he can.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [Icom] Thanks - Dead PRO2

I tried to thank most of the people who send me info and suggestions off the
list, it is a bit awkward the way I find I have to do it (reply to doesn't
work on this list), I might have missed some.

Thanks very much - I've sent the info onward to my friend.

One additional symptom - he is in Honolulu and he says he can hear WWVH very
weakly. No other signals heard - not even Broadcast ones.

Does this radio have 2 front ends?
