[Icom] Thanks - Dead PRO2

David, ask him to look carefully at what the display shows next to the ANT
softkey. It shows a 1 for Ant 1 and a 2 for Ant 2. But, if you press and
hold the softkey with either antenna input selected, the receiver is
switched to the receiving antenna input and the display shows "1/R"

From the sound of it, I would have to guess that somehow your friend in
pressing the antenna selector switch held it a bit too long and it reverted
to the 1/R or 2/R mode and he effectively has no antenna connected to the
receiver.

Let me know if this makes any sense . . .

Subject: [Icom] Thanks - Dead PRO2

I tried to thank most of the people who send me info and suggestions off the
list, it is a bit awkward the way I find I have to do it (reply to doesn't
work on this list), I might have missed some.

Thanks very much - I've sent the info onward to my friend.

One additional symptom - he is in Honolulu and he says he can hear WWVH very
weakly. No other signals heard - not even Broadcast ones.

Does this radio have 2 front ends?
