[Icom] Dead RX IC756PRO2

A friend of mine - a Radio Officer on a container ship from KH6 to Long =
Beach, CA - bought a Ic-756PRO2 - he's only used it to receive with.

At first the radio worked fine, but recently it won't receive.
He gets broadband hiss and nothing else.

I mentioned the setup for the Antenna Jacks - and he says he knows about =
this and this isn't the problem.  I also mentioned that the TRANSMIT =
button might have been accidentally pushed - but that wouldn't be the =
problem because he is hearing broadband noise (very weak).

Any suggestions for me to relay him?  He will be in port for two days.

Also anyone have the shipping address and phone number for ICOM?  Or is =
there a service facility near Los Angles/Long Beach CA?
