Joe... I have a Pro, and a 1000D.
I have compared them MANY times. I ended up keeping them both!
Everytime I A/B them, the one I am using is the one I like.
With QRM, or band conditions..the PRO allows you to tighten up selectivity,
slide the
passband either way, auto notch, manual notch etc.
The 1000D is better at hearing the desired signal without having to start
'playing' .
It also has QRM features, but works well without a lot of 'twiddling'.
The received CW note is a bit nicer also, and I like the characteristics
better as well.
...Dave

Has anyone performed an A/B comparison of the two radios? I have a Pro II,
which is much better than the Mark V I had (sold it), but I would like to
know how the Pro II measures up to the FT-1000D.

Thanks!

Joe
