[Icom] Icom 781 vs Icom 756PRO II

have owned both rigs. the 781 was a great rig... for its day, but if you put the rig up to todays 76proII.. no contest. There are times when the 781 with its block of filters is hard to beat,but if you take the time to fully understand and use the dsp in the prior, the 781 falls short. Add that to the monochrome display and the less than long life power supply in the 781... the higher output on the 781 was nice, but take the pro II with transmit dsp control and the prior has as much punch when all is said and done.
 no doubt the 781 is a elegant rig,but its time has passed.I surly would not trade even for a 781.
 but thats my opinion what's yours?
