Yes, that is with a normal SSB bandwidth. Remember the yagi will have
considerable f/s and f/b and here that helps to reduce atmospherics coming
out of the southern latitudes. The inverted V or bobtail curtains generally
have a higher noise level as would the yagi if I beam to the Caribbean area,
for example.
And yes, it can be frustrating hearing and not being heard. But I prefer it
to the other. The northern latitude here (53N) also carries its own one way
propagation whenever things are disturbed, adding to the situation.
