[Icom] IC606MKIIG Broadcast Overload

I am a new IC706MKIIG owner in Austin, Texas.
I use a 10 el log periodic at 68 ft for 10-20 meters and an inverted vee with peak at 65 ft for 30-160 meters.
I am on top of a hill with a clear view in all directions, 8 miles NW of city center and 6 mi NNE of the complex of  TV transmitting towers.
At different times, but mostly near sunset or sunrise, regardless of antenna used,
I hear one or more simultaneous broadcast signals that are frequency independent.
The signals blanket several bands, usually 30/20/15/17 meter bands.
The signals persist for a few minutes to over an hour.
No settings of the 706 seem to have any effect on this phenomenon.
Are there other 706 owners out there who have experienced this?
Are there any fixes?
