[Icom] Getting a reply from Icom by email

Before retiring last year I was product manager for a company that builds
equipment for the commercial telephone answering service industry. Our
equipment has the ability to retrieve a clients e-mail and allow the
operator to respond or to forward the message to an appropriate responder.
The fact is that most brick and mortar businesses devote very little
resources to dealing with electronic communications, sad as that may
be. Probably a secretary or low level tech assigned to look at customer
e-mails from time to time, with very little initiative or ability to act.
I have had similar experiences with e-mails to General Electric and
others. GE finally responded after weeks with a virtually useless and
meaningless answer to my question.
Businesses are in the process of changing their business mindsets with
respect to electronic communications from customers, but it'll take a while.
