[Icom] ICOM ic756 screensaver?

Hi Andy,
The IC-756Pro/Pro II screen is a TFT, and is thus not subject to burn-in
(unlike a CRT). If you wish, you can turn down the backlight intensity; this
may prolong the life of the CCF backlight tube.
As DL9FCC mentioned, the screensaver-related question most probably applies
to the computer on which the radio control software runs, not to the radio
itself. Some aftermarket Icom control software may offer a screensaver.

Related question for Adam Farson--does leaving the 756 Pro or Pro II screen
on for long periods of time cause undue bulb or screen wear or even "burn
in"? I don't leave mine on for extended periods but may be overly cautious.
Thanks, Andy K5VM
