I've had the fuse holders on my Icom power cord come loose at the crimp. I
soldered them back so I wouldn't have to worry about the crimp getting loose
again. If there was a voltage drop I didn't have any of your symptoms. Good
luck.

I was getting RF power output Ok but my audio was terrible from some reports. It was breaking up and sounded if I had RF content on my audio.

In addition to this, I find the fuses in both the +ve and -ve leads are quite warm . I must be losing a few volts here. There is no burning and all crimps look good. I am thinking of changing these for Bulkhead 3AG holders like they are on my Kenwood gear.
