Chuck, Why not just use the RF power control on the front panel? It will
reduce the power to
5 watts, continuously adjustable. Just "set it & forget it".
I would be careful with any internal adjustments as it may upset the TX IMD
performance.
I suspect the available output is quite adequate without the need for
external amplifiers, unless you are trying to jump to a 250/300 range.

I just bought a (IC-910H) is there a way to reduce the output power....
What I would like to do is turn the rf drive all the way up on the front
panel, go inside the pa board to reduce the power on 2 meters to 15
watts,15 watts on 70 cm so I can drive my brick amps. Tnx in advance
