I would bet that if u choose to offer parts from it for salvage that the
first part you sell will subsequently get u the response, "I bought that
Icxx4 from you for my IC781. Now the damn rig doesn't put out any power at
all!!!" The guy will then proceed to bad mouth you on every ham forum and
may even go so far as to start an "I hate Bill Diamond, don't buy anything
from him ever" news group.
However you will end up knowing what the bad part was and replacing the
Icxx4, will make your 'parts rig' 781 a fine, functional rig. Of course,
no one will talk to you on the air because of your bad rep!
