[Icom] UT-102 not working correctly

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has come up against any problems with the 102 voice synth for the 706MKIIG?  I installed mine correctly went into the main set-up menu activated it every which way and all I get is voice on mode only.  The unit is supposed to give freq,sig strength, and mode.  I think i just got a bum chip and will return it. But I wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions?Thanks in advance to all that respond.73 KC2JFS Scott
