I had a small Honda generator, I think it was a little larger
capacity, but it was too weak to run the HF rig on full
power when I was at altitude in Colorado. You're at
sea level but I think the 350 watts will be real marginal.
What I wound up doing was using a battery and running
the rig from it and then using the generator to just charge
the battery and that worked fine. The average power
was about what the battery charger would put out and
the peak power on transmit would not have to come
from the generator. BTW, the Honda I had came with
a 12 vdc battery charger connection and that was what
I used. If your's does not have that capability, pick up
a 10 amp charger and use it from the 110 output of
the generator.
