Mike,

The price quoted in a previous post is not just for a bulb, as you seem you 
believe. It a complete lamp assembly that has wire leads and a molded rubber 
sleeve that fits into the access hole on the back of the S-Meter. I have 
tried before to replace just the bulb and found out the hard way that I 
would much rather use the lamp assembly. It's quicker, easier, and much more 
professional. Is it a "rip-off"? Definitely not.
