Hello All,
Ref my post about the timer. That was the problem. Thanks for all the help. Like I said before, Collins and Drake I understand but this is one rig that I would be afraid to even take the cover off of.
The Collins boys would probably send long black cars after me for saying this but I never knew how many stations I was missing in the qrm and noise until I got the PRO. On the PRO they are Q 5 and on the Collins, not even there.
Thanks again

Push the on-off button for about a second and a half or so to turn it on or
off.
That red light means the timer is on.

hooked up this week, it is my first brand new rig since about 1980 and I am
used to Collins and Drake rigs and a Ten-Tec or two but never such a rig as
the PRO.

I was listening to it the other night and after a few min it just turned off
for no reason.
> I turned it back on and it came right back on ok. It did the same thing
tonight and it came right back on when I hit the power switch. The red light
was on, and I just assumed it was a pilot light like I am used to.
> Well, I just went back in and turned on the Icom PS and the rig came on by
itself without pushing the power switch. After reading this post, I just
pushed the switch for a split second and the red light went off and the rig
stayed on fine.

on?

Aw what the heck, I am just too old to do that anymore anyway.
