I remember there was something screwy about the IC701's pwr supply.

My PS-701 power supply, of course, doesn't put out anything like the 13.8
volts that is stamped on the back panel. Its more like 18.6. Most sources
suggest not using it with the IC-701, which is wise, but is there a mod
anyone knows of to add a regulator circuit to the power supply or is there a
way turn down the voltage  output? It would be a shame to junk it or let it
sit idle if there was a relatively easy way to regulate it.
