[Icom] want advice

hi joel..here is  a simple non technical comparison in 29 words or less..  i
have a 1kd and pro2..  they represent the opposite ends of the technology
scale...   the p2 is  the ultimate in computer tech menu driven rigs. the
1kd is the ultimate in "old tech" mechanical filters "real switches and
dials" etc..  i wouldnt  trade either one...  they are side by side and
performance in my opinion is equal ( 1kd is 200 watts..  p2 is 100)   is the
p2 worth $1000 more that the 756pro?  probably not..   i am guessing that
the orion is supposed to be a combined 1kd and p2..  good luck  paul w8jn
