Hi Hart,
The IC-756Pro2 is a 13.8V DC radio, as are all current Icom HF
transceivers*. You will need a suitable 13.8V 25A power supply to run it.
The IC-756Pro2 has an internal , fully-integrated automatic antenna tuner
which will match a maximum load VSWR of 3:1 on all HF bands, and 2.5:1 on
6m. You can read all about the IC-756Pro2 on my Icom page:

* The IC-775DSP is mains-operated, but was recently discontinued.

Subject: [Icom] Comments on 756 pro 2
I'm thinking of buying the ic-756pro 2 unit. I was told I need to buy a
separate power supply and antenna tuner, is this true. I would like to know
the pros and cons of this rig before I buy it. I will be using it only for
local and dx rag chewing... No contesting. Thanks
