[Icom] ICOM Service Center Problem

Dennis,
I seem to recall that when you first reported this problem, you
indicated you were using an external SWR meter between the rig and the
antenna, with a short piece of coax between the 706 and the SWR bridge.
Is this correct or am I thinking of someone else?
If it was you, did you ever try the antenna directly to the 706,
eliminating any other pieces of coax or the SWR bridge as the actual
culprit? When you used your friends antenna, was it connected directly
to the radio or thru an external SWR meter? Just curious.
