Doug,
The only thing else I can think of is a bad ground at the antenna
connection point, but that would probably have shown up as a bad SWR.
Is the noise coming in through the antenna? Or the power line? Or both?
Try disconnecting the antenna at the rig to test that, but of course
don't transmit.
I assume the battery has a good direct connection to the frame as well
as the other items you bonded.
Sorry to hear about the problem. Good luck in solving it. Don't give
up yet!
