[Icom] PW-1 Control Cable Length? & Split

Hi Raul,

I have done exactly what you are asking about. The length was
increased with appr. 10 feet, and so far I havn�t noticed any
disadvantages.

The control cable to the PW-1 control console is "hardwired" at each end.
I'm planning a split disconnect using some sort of small 9-conductor
connector. At the same time I plan to increase length maybe 10 feet. Reasons
are for easier positioning of the console on the shack desks AND getting the
amp farther away from me. The fans are NOISY!  My question is whether anyone
here has any input for or against this. Maybe data loss with length? Any one
done this before?
