Treat the radio like your computer. Always turn the PS on first, then the
radio, and reverse the order when powering-off. Other-wise you might
"glitch" the program that runs the radio, which is resident in RAM during
"power-on" operation. When the rig is "power-off" condition, the "OS" is
held in ROM, and must be "loaded" during the "boot-up" period at "power-on".
Turning off the PS may cause a problem in the "OS", just like your
"Windows" program when you shut off the computer without shutting down
Windows properly. Any user info in RAM may be lost.
The power switch on the rig does not actually control the primary power, it
signals the CPU to engage main power, or shut it down.
