Years ago, a broadcast engineer told me to always kill power with the
switch that's easiest to replace, because the switch you use the most is
always the one that wears out first. It should be easy to replace with
parts you can easily get, not something you have to special order.
I use a wall switch that feeds an outlet strip, both easily replaced. Also
easy for my wife to turn off the radios when I go to work and forget to do
it. :-)
