Don - Very rarely, an FL-44A shows up on eBay. FL-80s show up more often.
I just replaced the FL-30 with the FL-80 last evening. The resultant
bandwidth with the FL-80 is a bit broader than with the FL-30. A quick
check with the calibrator signal shows much less ripple in the passband than
with the FL-30, although I don't know if that has any practical benefits. I
haven't measured the difference in ultimate attenuation and probably won't
since changing the filters is a soldering job that requires pulling out the
main board so you can get to the bottom traces. You can expect to pay
$70-80 for an FL-80 on eBay.
