Hi Adam,  Wish it was as simple as that.  The rubber grip is removed but
this version has only one hole and the screw inside is used to adjust the
tension of the knob.  I have actually completely removed the screw in case
it went into the shaft of the encoder - but not so.  Thanks for the reply

Hi Ian,

If I am not mistaken, you can slip the rubber grip off the knob body. This
will reveal two access holes for Allen grubscrews holding the knob to the
encoder shaft. I believe that you ill need a 2mm or 2.5mm Allen key to
release the screws.
