[Icom] No Anti Dsp Conspiricy Exists

Hi Tony, the 920 receiver can hold its own with any Ham rig out there*. As far
as I can tell Icom and Kenwood have yet to equal the DSP (especially in noise
reduction) of the 920 (*haven't tried a proII or FT1000mp or V). I agree with
you on the DSP compared to the 746 but I rate the 746 very highly as a receiver
in its class, a very nice package. From what I'm seeing on this list, it sounds
like Icom botched the 746Pro but that's just hearsay on my part.

hi marty,in your opinion how did you rate the reciever on the 920?I thought
it was above avg,and the dsp was much better than the 746.but i must say the
570dg was a close second to the 920.I no longer own the 920 but sure do miss
that big rig.I sold the 920,746 and my 990/dc to buy brand new 756 pro and
the ts-870s.Im happy with the trade off but sure do miss the 920 and 990.73
