[Icom] Ic-775DSP Backlight Flicker

I have the subject radio that I purchased new in 1999.  It's been an
outstanding performer.

However, in the past two months the radio's display backlighting will
flicker for about 30 minutes or so after the rig is turned on.  Then, it
will go away.  It also appears to be related to vibration during this
first 30 minutes or so.

I thought that I had seen a discussion on this problem, but I have not
been able to find the subject in the archives.

Has anyone had this 'backlighting flicker' problem, and if so what was
the remedy?
