Not only is there no headphone jack anywhere on the Yaesu, there is also no mic jack on the front panel! This means that if you remote mount the radio and have the removable front panel somewhere near the dash board, you will have to run separate cables to the radio for mic AND speaker/heeadphones! This may be inviting more RF problems. At least on the Icom, there are mic and speaker (or headphone) jacks on the front panel. (There is a switch on the back of the front panel to select speaker or headphone output for the jack.) The Yaesu has instructions in the manual on how to properly build a small attenuator (a couple of resistors) in a box so you don't overdrive the headphones with the speaker output...
