[Icom] Coat hangers - DX'ers and grumps please delete

 Those things are even good for uncommon antennas like 220 MHz.  220
antennas are hard to find.  I made one by trimming to length a piece of
copper wire mounted in a 2 meter mag mount base.  I then cut a coat hanger
to the same length.  It holds up better at highway speed than pure copper
wire.

We are in the amateur radio HOBBY.  If you want to be an appliance operator
and get angry at discussions about how to improvise or how to be creative in
solving problems, just hit DELETE when you see this topic in your mailbox.
