Don't know what the vent ouput temps should be, Chris, but in the 1-1/2
years that I have had my PRO - and it stays on about 14-16 hours each day -
I have never noticed the case becoming exceptionally warm. Did your 735
have an internal power supply? My 765 does and 90% of the internal heat
comes from there, yet the case remains fairly cool to the touch.
I never see any frequency calibration drift so I guess the TXCO is doing
its job.
Unless there is something wrong with your fan control circuitry, I would be
inclined to not worry much about the PRO overheating. If placing a muffin
fan behind to add a little extra cooling for the rear heat sink eases your
concern, then go for it! But it will be just that much more constant fan
noise unless you can get a real quiet one.
