} No Problem Adam,. I just wish I could get some simple questions answered
} about the Icom Pro II. They are or should be black and white yes or no
} answers..but I can't get a straight answer. One is I have an Alpha 91B
} amplifier and with my FT1000D I can just hook up a RCA to RCA male cable to
} key the amp. Some have said with the newer amps like mine it is no
} problem..others say no way. There has to be a yes or no answer on that
} question unless you are using older amps such as SB220, L4B. etc.

I may be able to help here. I'm told that the IC-756 uses
the same reed relay as the IC-746 to internally switch the
SEND output. If that is true, then you might find the
following question:

Q:3.5.4 Do I need an external amplifier switching relay?

of the IC-746 FAQ at:

	http://www.qsl.net/kb9sss/IC-746/IC746-faq.txt
	http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IC746/files/IC746-faq.txt

to be helpful. This issue has caused some grief over the
past few years.

Bottom line: It works for some, but not for others. Failures
can be both expensive and mysterious. The safest course of
action is to use an isolation relay/circuit.
