[Icom] Need help with mobile intallation of my ICOM 706 MKIIG

Had ignition noise (picked up by the power line) in a Chevy
cavalier once. What I did was to enclose both power lines
(pos and neg) in the shield from some old RG-213 that I
stripped. Grounded both ends of the shield and the noise went
way down but still bothered the VHF AM radio (aviation band).
Added capacitive grounding to both ends of the power leads
(yup the negative too) and the noise essentially disappeared.
Ran the caps from the power leads to chassis ground. PS make
sure your hood is well strapped also. It's surprising how
much spark noise an insufficiently grounded hood can radiate.

Good luck.
