[Icom] New Kenwood rig to challenge 706?

I can tell you that the Kenwood people told me point blank at a recent
Hamfest, that they would have a rig with HF/6 meter to compete with the Icom
and Yaesu radios and for me personally, I like that idea better than having
everything tied up in one radio. If the rig goes down, you lose everything.
He also said it would probably not make it out by Dayton. Probably later
this year. He also said they had hired new blood in the engineering and
quality control depts. and that they were getting ready to come out with a
lot of new radios, Stay tuned for the excitement. I love and own all major
brands of ham radio gear. They all have their problems, enough said. 73,
