I think what they are saying is they don't know and for the most part don't 
care.  There is no warranty from them that the particular charger/battery 
combination will work.  If it does, fine.  If it doesn't, don't complain to 
them.

Any manufacturer can only realistically warrant those combinations they 
know will work together.  The fact the manufacturers don't know doesn't 
mean the combinations won't work, only that you are on your own.
