Folks,
A few months ago I obtained a 746-pro, love it. I also got the CR-338
TCXO and decided I won't use it. So...
FS "NEW IN BOX", never installed, CR-338, TCXO $80 shipped CONUS
International buyers welcome, but I ask that you pay shipping
insurance to DX QTH.
Now some questions.
After playing with the radio a few months I believe I mastered the DSP
controls. I've not discovered any faults or idiosyncrasies, and wonder
what other's experience may be?
I do mostly CW and discovered the Key rise time adjustment recently.
Does the rise time setting affect the keying waveform drastically?
Does it affect the RC sig characteristics significantly? (I'd love to
see some spectrum analyzer plots)
Does the 746pro have flash memory to enable updating the rig over
time, (like TenTecs)?
---
I must say, I'm very impressed with the DSP features of this rig.
Doing most QRP & PSK, the DSP allows me to dig out those weak signals
with ease. PSK set-up was a snap (and CHEAP) with this rig. I built a
simple audio cable, to interface via the Mic connector and control
RX/TX via VOX works great! And--love the 3.6kHz filter bandwidth for
use with software like Digipan.
