[Icom] 706MKII and HM-103

    I have been contacted by a ham who uses the HM-103 microphone
into a 706MKII (not G). He believes that his transmit audio is
reduced in level, and somewhat muffled. I am not aware of any
systemic problems with that pair, in fact, I use an HM-103 with
a 706MKIIG, and it seems to work fine.

    In any case, I volunteered to ask this group if there were any
issues known concerning that pair and transmit audio. My friend
wonders if this is one of those situations where the case of the
microphone could be opened, and some sort of foam or
rubber blockage removed. That seemed to happen some time 
ago with some particular microphone.
