Jeff, you might consider Commander, a freeware application that provides

  - VFO display and modification

  - mode display and modification

  - S meter display

  - one-click PTT on/off

  - RX bandwidth control

  - display of frequency-dependent settings for tuners and amplifiers

  - 20 memories, each specifying frequency, mode, and RX bandwidth

  - 8 user-defined command sequences that can be invoked with a single
mouse-click or keystroke

  - automatic interoperation with other members of the freeware DXLab
suite

    * DXKeeper for logging, award tracking, and QSL card/label
generation

    * WinWarbler for 3-channel PSK31 and 2-channel RTTY from one user
interface

    * DXView for beam heading map display, DX spot map display, and
antenna rotator control

    * SpotCollector for DX spot capture and analysis from packet,
telnet, and IRC

    * PropView for propagation prediction and NCDXF beacon monitoring
(QSYs transceiver and rotates antenna to follow specified beacons)

    * Pathfinder for QSL route determination (the only DXLab application
that doesn't interoperate with Commander)

DXLab applications are developed iteratively, yielding multiple releases
per week available to all users; this process is driven via the DXLab
reflector at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dxlab/

Commander and all other DXLab applications are available via
www.qsl.net/dxlab .

    73,

Dave, AA6YQ (author, the DXLab Suite)
