If it were me, I would upgrade to the Pro, and send the 761 to Avvid for
repair...keep it as a backup rig.
Your accys will work fine with the Pro.
Better still, perhaps you can get a good buy on the original Pro (not ProII)
The difference in the two is not worth the extra $$s

I have an IC-761, had it from new... works well except: This happened
recently - After being on the air for an hour or so - BOTH the receive and
transmit audio gets garbled (sounds like radio is under water) I hear it in
my head set (monitor) and the other station hears it in my xmit audio. I
like the radio and would like to know if the symptoms sound familiar to
anyone, and what is the feeling of moving to a 756 Pro II (newest version) -
I also have a 2KL and AT-500 I want to continue to use.
