[Icom] Help on blocking Rx and Tx on my 706MKII

Hi Sasi.

I would be surprised if you could do it easily Sasi, you would need to read
the vco or address range changes, and find a way of "interfering" with them
from a logic point of view.......Interesting because their are a number of
different freq's involved and different vco ranges. A long way would ( if
you could ) decode the lcd data, and comparing that with a few frequencies
( data) settings in an eprom, if they matched, then use that output to
disable or bring in the out of lock circuitry....Not looked at the schematic
myself to see how easily that could be done, but it may be a feasible
option. So you could look at 49 or 54 Mhz or 199 etc and compare it.....I
know that would be relatively easy if the data were " get attable" on the
individual segments, like it would have been before the days of serial data
feeding an intelligent display hi, but not sure how feasible it is in the
case of the 706 etc.

Otherwise I would seek the technical advice of Icom direct, and put your
problem directly to them to see if they could resolve it "easily" :-(.

Just a few thoughts my dear friend.
